Okay, so I know several of you have disowned us as friends and we are knocked off of everyone's link list because of our lack of blogging. But...we have several good excuses!
First off we still do not have phone/internet service at home. Do not ask me why, we don't know. The phone company has assured us they are working on the problem. :(
So, here's what's happened in our lives over the past 3 weeks: On February 14th Joe's brother Nick and his girlfriend Shaina joined us in California to help with the move. We were able to spend a day showing them around San Fransisco. Not much sight seeing this trip, but I think they were okay with it. They were a tremendous help. We spent the rest of the weekend packing the house and on Sunday the 17th loaded the moving truck which we had been assured was plenty big enough for our small house. Ha Ha! We ran out of space and because I was unwilling to leave my grill (and a few other essentials) behind Joe and Nick had to pull a Uhaul trailer across country. After very little sleep Sunday night we got up around 3 am (yes it does exist) and headed to the airport. Shaina, Zeke and I flew out and Joe and Nick left immediately for their roadtrip. After getting stuck in Chicago for 7 hours, Shaina, Zeke and I made it to Ohio around 11 pm Monday night. The guys pushed and arrived around 11 pm Wednesday night. At that point things seemed to be going well and we were anxious to get our moving truck and move into our wonderful new home.
The moving truck arrived on Tuesday morning. However it did not come alone. The truck was preceded by about 4 inches of snow which contined to fall as the truck was unloaded! Zeke hadn"t been feeling well so we stayed behind while Joe and his dad and brother unloaded. Several of the guys from the church also helped unload and by 1 pm Joe had picked me and Zeke up and we were officially in our home.
Around 5:30 Zeke's fever had returned and we dec ided to take him to the ER to see if he needed an antibiotic. We wound up staying in the hospital til Thurs. morning! Zeke had RSV and was dehydrated.
We are home now and all seem to be doing better with the exception of a lack of sleep and a lot of unpacked boxes. Sorry there's no pics for now. As soon as we get high speed at home I'll get them up. We love you all thanks for your prayers!

Oh my! What an adventure! I am so glad to hear you are getting settled! I hope Zeke is feeling better! Daniel had RSV when he was 6 months old.... it was bad! Nothing worse than seeing your child sick. :( I will continue to pray for you! We miss you and will keep checking in for updates! Thanks for the post! :)

Wow! Quite the trip. Good to hear from the Proudfoot's. We heard that Zeke had been in the hospital and pray that he continues to recover. What exactly is RSV?
It's been awhile since my kids were that little and don't remember an illness called RSV.
Sounds scary, just glad all is well now.

I''mg glad to hear you guys made it back saftley and are at least at what is now your new "home". Val told me about Zeke. How awful! We will keep praying that he stays healthy. There is nothing like having your baby sick and not being able to do anything for them. It is just miserable!

OH wow are you in OHIO my favorite state, let me know when you are all moved in and adjusted to the new venture i would love to come and visit you even if it just for a saturday!! Will be praying that you get adjusted to the new scenery.

Finally...an update! I have been wondering how you guys have been adjusting to life in Ohio. We are doing well here in Oregon. It's a little cold right now and it's forecasted to snow this weekend again. It's probably quite a bit colder in Ohio though. Please let us know as soon as you get your new phone number and email address up and working. We miss you guys and have been thinking about you a lot lately. It's not the same doing ministry without you both.
