The Silent Treatment

Wondering why you haven't heard from me in awhile? Here's the scoop...About 2 months ago I started doing in-home daycare. It is working out quite well. I am able to bring in some extra cash (who couldn't use more of that?) and yet I don't miss Zeke (who would want to do that?). Since Labor Day I've had a full time 2 mos old and part time 3 year old. The little one is now 4 1/2 mos and this past week I brought in another full time 2 mos old. Needless to say my days have gotten a bit busier.

When I'm not going crazy I actually am enjoying the time with the little ones and it has been wonderful for Zeke. He does very well with the girls (yes, they're all female) and it is so cute to watch him try to help me. He's really good at attemptint to stick the binkie in a fussy baby's mouth (this usually increases the crying). Zeke is also doing much better with "stranger anxiety" thanks to the constant flow of traffic and even went tearlessly into the nursery last Sunday (this was a MAJOR milestone).

All in all it's working out quite well except that blogging has taken a wee bit of a backseat in light of my new career path. So sorry, here's a few recent pics of Zeke. You can also check out my mom's blog for pics of her recent visit to Ohio.

Mya and Emily Came to Visit

We had another wonderful weekend with visitors. This time it the gang from Buffalo made the trip to see us. The weather was a bit chilly but the scenery was perfect for a walk. We took a walk in the local park, went to our church's Chili Cookoff and introduced Matt and Jaime to Settlers of Catan ( I think they're hooked!). It was a great weekend. Thanks for making the drive guys.

Thanks for the lift Uncle Matt!

Look Zeke, I have a caterpillar on my finger!

Zeke and Emily had more fun with the straws than all the toys in the house.

Zeke no longer rides, he'd much rather push.
It was a beautiful walk
This picture took several shots. This is the best of all of them!

With "flying" colors!

I just got off the phone with mom. She did it!! Not that any of us doubted her. She got a 98%. I'm SOOOOO proud of all she's done. Thanks for all your prayers. Keep an eye on her blog for graduation (tomorrow) pictures.

So Proud!!

I think I speak for my entire family when I say we are so proud of our mom. If you follow any of my family member's blogs you know that she has been working so hard at Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant's School. She is literally in the top 1% of all the applicants they receive. She has done an amazing job. Yesterday and today she had her first real flight, which she is being graded on. Tomorrow morning she has her final accumulative exam. She must get a 90% or higher and she cannot retake this exam. The test is from 8:30-9:30 am Dallas time. Soooo pray like crazy!! Mom has said over and over again that she never could have done this on her own strength and she feels our prayers. Tomorrow she will definitely need as many as she can get. So, will you do me a favor? Pray for my mom today and tomorrow. Specifically let's all pray during her test tomorrow. If you're out by us she's 1 hour behind, if you're in CA she's 2 hours ahead. If we're all lifting her up then I'm confident she'll be in the best hands possible.
