Christmas Celebrations

We have had the most wonderful week of Christmas celebrations. We have emjoyed time with friends and family and some much needed rest and relaxation.
The fun began on the 23rd when we got together with Joe's parents and brothers and exchanged gifts and shared dinner. Zeke seemed a little overwhelmed at times but he had a BLAST!!

Can I go now mommy?

At times Zeke and Logan were more interested in each other's gifts than their own :)

Daddy and Zeke ready to deliver goodies to the neighbors on Christmas Eve. Yes, Zeke put his hat on by himself and no he didn't want anyone to help him "fix it".

I probably could've got a better picture of the cookie brigade, but I didn't want to put on all my snow clothes :)

After the deliveries it was time for a snowman.

Still insisting he didn't need help with that hat!

As you can tell we didn't exactly have a blizzard come through, but the boys still managed to put together a respectable Frosty.

We told Zeke if he wore his tie he could open a present before we left for church (yep, there's good parenting for you).

He wasn't so excited when he discovered it was PJs!

It's 11 pm on Christmas Eve does he look ready for bed?!?

Yep, it's about 6:30 am and that is chocolate on his face!

Joe did something very special this year. After what I thought were all the presents had been unwrapped, he pulled out 2 more, one for me and one for Zeke. Zeke was THRILLED to receive his Buzz Lightyear. It's his newest favorite character but was not something I had purchased for him.

I was very surprised to receive this beautiful bike! I can't wait to take Zeke riding this spring!

Some assembly required!

Even Buckeye enjoyed relaxing.

GGma and GGpa got Zeke a sled...we tried it out today-pics to come.
Getting to know cousin to be Ethan.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

We have been having so much fun seeing Christmas through the eyes of our 2 year old. Zeke absolutely LOVES our tree. The first thing he does every morning is to army crawl underneath it and turn it on. He then stands back in amazement and wonder as if it's the first time he's seen it! Last week he stood back and said "oh it's gorgeous"! Joe and I can hardly wait to see his reaction on Christmas morning.

Zeke all but refuses to have his picture taken these days. On the day we set up the tree he was literally bouncing off the walls from the excitement (or was that the hot cocoa?). He kept putting on the santa hat and telling me "CHEESE". It's probably the only Christmas pics I'll
get all year :) Zeke found a "corner" of the tree and claimed it from the beginning. He LOVED decorating and remained very focused throughout the job.

This is the end result of Zeke's corner! I started "fixing" it when he went to bed. When Joe asked why I wasn't going to leave it, I told him if I didn't the tree was going to fall over :)
The star needed a little help too!
On day 2 we put up the rest of the decorations. Zeke squealed every time he opened a "baby Jesus house". He kept showing me "Marvy, Jopheph and Baby Jesus"!

Zeke wrapped up this gift and told me it was for Santa!

Making snowflakes with daddy.

Time for baking!

SUGAR!!!!!

We wish you all the merriest Christmas and pray that you are able to sit back, relax and enjoy Christmas like a child!
See you in 2010!!!

Since Mom is sooooooooo busy... here is what I have been up to.

I helped marry off uncle Nick. My favorite part was the dancing!

I got rid of that baby bed and now I sleep in a "Big Boy" bed.

I cook pizza (thanks uncle Matt and aunt Jaime for the recipe), cinnamon rolls, and biscuits.

I also helped dad train for his half ironman. He couldn't have done it with out me as his coach.

I also built a fence for Buckeye so he won't run in the road.

I also have learned how to go potty in the big boy potty, and I love to wear "Big Boy pants". I help mom everyday in her daycare and even help clean the house. When I get another chance I will post, but mommy says I have to go now.
