A few weeks back Joe told me not to make plans for this Saturday because he wanted to take us on a family adventure. He planned a great day for us in Frankenmuth Michigan. We visited the world's largest Christmas store, watched the dog jumping games, saw skydivers and a hot air balloon competition. We have spent all day today recovering but it was so worth it. We had a GREAT day!

Zeke was quite the grumpy elf until we got in the store.

Frankenmuth is called the "little Bavaria" of Michigan. They had polka music and dancing all over town.

It was amazing to watch the hot air balloons get ready to take off. We witnessed the whole process and were surprised at how quick it was.

Look dad, mom said I could have this sugar coated, artificially flavored popcorn for an 8 pm snack!

Honestly, I put my foot down...he wanted ice cream!

These balloons were part of the competition. They took off at another location and had to fly in and drop their bean bag on the X. Very few even made it close enough to drop, let alone hit the target.

We've already decided this will be a trip to do again! Thanks babe for planning a great day.
