Many of you have asked if we have "heard anything lately"... We have a wonderful social worker who contacts us frequently to check in. We thank God for the role she is playing in His creation of our family. Unfortunately, we have not received "the call" that will change our lives forever. We have been told that things are a little bit slow at the Bethany office right now and we are confident that in God's perfect timing our baby will walk into that office (in their mommy's tummy of course!). In the meantime we are grateful for the extra days we get to have just being Joe and Sarah. We're looking forward to playing together this summer. It's actually kind of exciting to wake up and think "is today the day?". Please continue to pray for our child's birthmother. As we wait with excitement she is wading through a decision more difficult than we can comprehend. Pray that she will sense the peace of God. Thank you for your continued prayers and support and rest assured when we have news we will be sure to pass it on!

I'm glad to see you guys are hanging in there. You are in good hands and you know Abby is doing everything in her power to be able to give you "the call". We will continue to pray for you, as I know you have been faithful in doing the same for us. We are also enjoying the "us" time that we have...isn't it great? Love each other and cherish this time...it will go by faster than you think.
Joe and Sarah, thank you for challenging us all to truly enjoy our partners this summer. I just loved the word you used, "play". As adults we do forget to play with those we love. What a gift you have given us all! Hang in there, God's timing will be more perfect than any of us can even imagine. We love you both!
